It is wintertime in the city, and all that recent college graduate Dorian Smart is concerned with is wallowing in his own self-pity. Disillusioned by his slim job prospects in a post September 11th economy, he surrendered all will to attain the a life that he had hoped for. Melvin Richards, a friend and antagonist, is only interested in keeping Dorian emotionally frail and dependent on him by belittling his efforts and undermining his confidence. When Dorian befriends a girl by the name of Azura Michel, he finds that his life is going in an unfamiliar path.

Bio

Kevin Richardson’s first labor of love was drawing dinosaurs and comic books. His teenage years were spent on countless hours inventing comic book characters and formulating plans to break into the industry. Over the years, Kevin’s work has showed up in various independent publications including Approbation Comics, Candy or Medicine, and the Pantheon.

Bitter Pill originally debuted in 2008 on the online arts magazine Hearsight.com as a weekly 12-part series.
